We don’t send this out very often, but did have a few items we wanted to share with you, bringing you up to speed… THE ANDRESSOHN CASE… First and foremost on my list is the case of the century. As many of you know, the Andressohns have been fighting the state of Florida (police state) for over 30 months. Their four beautiful, living food children were

stolen from them simply because the state didn’t understand a living food lifestyle. Charges of manslaughter and neglect were brought against both Joseph and Lamoy in a criminal court and a family court. The family court was won several months ago, defeating 4 counts of neglect. Did you know one of the prosecutors actually resigned because they felt the charges were unjust? And, did you know the judge made comments on how the children’s cheeks looked plump and healthy? The next part of this journey was fighting for justice at a criminal level. After a week of hearing testimony from both sides, the Andressohns were convicted of neglect. The jury felt compelled there was no manslaughter, and thus voted this way. We also feel the jury felt they had to convict the Andressohns of “something†and the neglect charge seemed to be the lesser of the charges. So, our next challenge is to keep these loving parents out of jail

while they appeal this last frivolous charge of neglect. Even though we have attorneys that are doing this Pro Bono (no charge), we still have expenses for our vegan attorney Andrew Fields. When I first spoke to Andrew he volunteered to move from San Diego to Florida to help with this case. He took on all those moving expenses and only asked that we would pay for his travel expenses. Unfortunately, we did not have many people donate at our donation site http://www.rawfriends.com/ and therefore couldn’t keep our end of the bargain. I have paid Andrew out of my own pocket, but am now unable to do this. I just got off the phone with Lamoy Andressohn to learn of their visitation with all 4 children! On Tuesday, January 10th, 2006, Lamoy and Joseph

Andressohn walked into a therapist's office by court order to see their children, after being torn way for 30 months. The last day the Andressohns saw their 4 beautiful children was in June of 2003. Now I’m sure those of you with children reading this must be pondering, "What would it be like to have my child taken away?!" I personally don’t have any children, so I’m not able to have the empathy, even though I built this website from the ground up especially for this cause. However, I can have sympathy for them due to having my own challenges in life. Now that we know they visited them, I’m sure you want the nitty gritty and all that happened. The first miracle God bestowed upon them was a 45-minute visitation that was unsupervised in the lobby. The driver who brought the children to the meeting place didn’t know he was supposed to escort the children to a safe place. Not that the lobby wasn’t safe but out of the eyes of the parents. Joseph and Lamoy took full

advantage of the situation and were able to interact with all of them for what seemed to be a lifetime. Everyone was so happy and hugging and a bit overwhelmed. After the 45 minutes of bliss, it was now time to spend the one hour of supervised time with the therapist. One by one, the children were brought into the room by themselves allowing them to interact with Joe and Lamoy. After they all had their private session they were allowed to visit as a family should…..all together!!! And It gets even better! I asked Lamoy what it was like, and what was said in that short time. The first words out of her mouth were telling me what the oldest son Yahshwah, 9 years old, said to her and Joe. (He said it to Lamoy while Joe was standing there.) "You and Dad are the best parents in the whole world!†WOW…brought tears to my eyes. He was the superstar who held the family together while his siblings were wondering what would happen next. He kept the dream alive that they

would all reunite and here they were touching, squeezing and chatting with each other. Yahshwah is our hero. Next on the list was Mykahyah, who is almost 7. He was a bit more leery but did warm up to them after seeing his siblings accept the situation. When Mykahyah was in the courtroom with the judge, he was answering questions. One of the questions was “What do you want to be when you're older?†Mykahyah’s strict answer was that he wanted to be an investigator, and a good one! I had to laugh at this answer, because even the 7-year-old knew when the prosecutor was lying. He also said he wanted to be an inventor, and create a car that flies. Who knows; maybe you’ll be the first to buy and fly one of his cars in the future! Benyah, age 6, was all over Joseph and Lamoy like a monkey in a tree. He has no inhibitions and was very happy and carefree to see his parents once again. He was the life of the party, and wanted to hold the baby, as he did his other

younger siblings in the past. He was truly a bright light in the room. Last, but surely not least, was the innocent smile of Rahyah who is now 4. This was the toughest case of all, when you think about how young she was when she was ripped from her parent’s arms. However, she warmed up quickly, as did the other children, and are counting on being reunited once again. The Andressohns will see all their children once per week until the next hearing, in February, which will determine how often they can see them. Lamoy was under the impression that they would all be reunited after about 6 months! I asked Lamoy if it was all worth it and what was she feeling? I posed the question to her if someone had come to her and Joe with a large amount of money to move to Jamaica, and would she consider it. I sweetened the pot by saying this same person would furnish you and your children with a home for life, and you would have no worries. Lamoy is Jamaican, hence this

question. They are also on probation for 15 years, which can be a long time to cow to the authorities. In a snap she answered “No, I wouldn’t do that. I don’t want to run, as I have done nothing wrong, and I want to be free.†I knew that was going to be her answer, but I wanted to see if I was still speaking to the same Lamoy I had known for the last 1 ½ years. This woman has taught me so much about unconditional love and humility that I owe her for a lifetime. Whenever I’m in doubt of something or someone I call Lamoy and learn these lessons all over again. Its still amazes me that she holds no animosity toward anyone who has harmed her or her children. What a beautiful soul. Now that the Andressohns have been placed on probation and relieved of house arrest, this is the end result as of today! * They no longer wear electronic ankle bracelets. * They no longer are on house arrest, waiting

for the phone to ring, checking on them. * They can now drive freely to Whole Foods and get their organic produce. (They were only allowed 2 hours per week before to shop) * They now have a piece of their life back that was stolen for over 30 months. I want to thank everyone who’s reading my words today from the depths of my heart! YOU made this possible by donating money, time, or just spreading the word. Even though all these great things have happened, we still have a ways to go. APPEAL… Joe and Lamoy are appealing this case and it will happen in about 1 to 2 years! As some of you may not know, the attorneys on the case did all of this Pro Bono. Andrew Fields and his wife, Deer, both vegans, moved from CA to FL so they could be close enough and work with the Miami attorney Ellis Rubin, who also did this case Pro Bono. Now the judge has appointed Ellis and his partner as

attorneys for the appeal. What does this mean? It means that the court will be paying these attorneys their fees so the Andressohns get fair representation. I’m not in a position to say what’s going on in the judge's head, but you can ponder in your mind what he may be thinking with an order like that! HOWEVER…this does not mean we don’t desire your financial support! The Andressohns had to give up their home due to lack of funds and are now living in a single room in a house of a friend. Joseph has a new job and is working very hard to get caught up preparing a place for his children’s arrival.
