Guest guest
Brit , your right . Without a doubt. There are lots of new ideas to get folks to drink their greens. I too own the Green Star and highly recommend it. However I believe these new recipes are made to give people a way to get in more greens. Victoria Boutenko said she came up with a few of these recipes because she said her children were bored with juicing wheat grass. No the Vita Mix is not a juicer . Guest guest
When I studied raw foods and juicing about 10 years ago I learned that putting raw veggies in high speed/heat situation could cause oxidation, hence the use of a proficient juicer like the GreenStar etc. Now I am reading that the swing is to put veggies in high power blenders like VitaMix or K-Tech and drink them plus to add lots of fruits. Was taught that altho apple fares well with greens alot of other fruits do not aid digestion when mixed with greens. So now I am puzzled to see all the writings about drinking green smoothies. Now hearing that juices are not giving you all the benefits? I juice every day in my GreenStar and mostly greens and find it hard to imagine " drinking " a slurpy of them from a blender? Also if the amount of water added as suggested is used then one would be drinking the mix all day which makes me wonder again about oxidation?
