Guest guest Posted December 13, 2005 Report Share Posted December 13, 2005 Hello,I wanted to let you know that Raw Soul Holiday Potluck has been canceled for 2 substantial reasons. Last Friday night upon returning from work, I was seriously injured by a fall on ice on the parking lot in front of my house. Aside from cutting my left hand and one of my right fingers, bleeding profusely, I awoke the next morning with severe pain throughout the entire left side of the upper half of my body, which became progressively worse every day since then. This caused excruciating pain merely from breathing, stretching, walking, talking or any other action that causes the slightest pressure on my left ribs, shoulder or arm which persists to the present day. At the very least, I probably have bruised ribs, for which I'm taking bromelain. I will have to visit my chiropractor tomorrow for the first time in 15 months for an x-ray and to correct likely subluxations. I'm not generally inclined to disclose these details, but I thought some of you might be concerned. To add bona fide insult to injury, the overwhelming failure of most invited guests to reply to this invitation, for better or for worse, has compelled me to cancel this party. If another event is occurring on the same day involving some of you I've invited, I'd appreciate knowing this is the case, even if I'm not invited. Unless and until other people specifically ask me to host such an event in the future, this will be the last time for the foreseeable future that I will attempt to organize such an event.
