Guest guest
I was wondering if there were any response to my earlier post. I am not interested in buying any products just basic insignts that support the nutrition questions people tend to ask when you mention to them that you have chosen to go raw. Thanks...Peace...Pat Hi, I have a friend is trying to sell me on Usana. I asked her is Usana's products were organic in nature and how they were processed. She said that she had a comparison guide she could send me from the company. I declined since most oftend the company has created the guide to fair in their favor. Instead, I looked at both Usana and NCO website. What a difference. Usana, to me, appears to be marketing itself under the umbrella of wellness, yet is in fact a group of scientists selling chemically created and altered products and vitamins. I have also heard about New Chapter Organics. I decided that to purchase the Co-enzyme B COmplex 50 after my naturopath did some muscle testing and made the recommendation. After looking at New Chapter Organics, I felt as if they were the closest to organic/whole as they come, without actually being the orginal product. My friend maintains the stance that there is no way of getting the nutrients I need without taking a vitamin and proceeded to give me examples of the amount of food I would need to consume, etc. I still instinctually feel that this is only the case if you followe the S.A.D. My personal instincts say that all of my nutrients can be obtained from what I consume-fruits, vegetables, grains, legumes, and seeds. I plan to begin a ten day Master Cleanser on Jan. 1 followed by Alissa cohen's 30 day raw and live as a transition. I have watched her video and it aligns more to my feeling that it is possible to receive all the nutrients one's body needs on a Raw and Live diet. Are there any resources that show a) who determine what has been considered the RDA of nutrients b) why it is believed that the same RDA would fit everyone person when we are a different as our thumbprints, c) info regarding why one can receive all their nutrients via a raw and live diet without need to eat a kitchen sinks worth of food in a day, and d) any info on when a person would even seriously consider using formuulated nutrients. Thanks in advance...Peace...Pat (06) PS-I took sample of Usana and a sample of NCO and dissolved them into three different cups of water. After several 15 minute intervals. The gold Usana tablet turned speckly red and gold and smelled like chemicals, the white Usana tablet, turned blue, then white, and then broke down to smell like chlorine/chlorox, and the green NCO vitamin stayed naturally green, stayed in a whole food clumped form, and continued to retain it's smell as if it was a combination of spinach...uhmmm...things that make you go uhm...smile...
