It's amazing how many responses we get, and information showing how mothers

milk is the ideal and so on and so on....do any of you remember the question

was pertaining to someone who is not able to breast feed..so all of the

flood of info on mothers milk and the rightness of it doesn't have a da.n

thing to do w/the question that was asked...maybe if we spend less time

being right we could research some alternatives.goats milk was offered as an

alternative when mothers milk is not available..for all the data and

research.. have you raised any children.. i raised my nieces daughter from

4days old to three years old.....and used a combination of goats milk..fresh

green juices..spirulina...and coconut and safflower oil for the first

6months and added fresh fruit and eliminated goats milk after that..she

never was sick or been to the doctor during that time...i sure would not

have wanted encouragement from folks who are so dug into their positions, to

the point of blinding themselves from being of assistance

Thank you, Mark!!! I have been very irritated by this thread. Have we forgotten that there is a newborn mama and her newborn babe out there who need our support and help, not our self-centered spewing of ideologies and judgements? Wasn't it her mother-in-law's (I think) judgements that affected her so deeply in her time of extreme vulnerability that got her in this awful state in the first place????? Why are we doing the same???? Have all the mothers on this list forgotten how vulnerable we were when we were newborn? I remember being terrified that my baby would die because he wouldn't nurse every 3 hours like the nice nurse insisted he should. I had plenty of milk, and he was the portrait of infant health. I can only imagine how I would feel in this newborn mama's shoes, being bombarded with so many ideologies and frightened that any one of these choices of milk substitute would harm my baby. If this diet is supposed to be so spiritually uplifting, then why have we behaved so pathetically egotistically? Shame on us!!!!
