Guest guest Posted September 25, 2005 Report Share Posted September 25, 2005 Hi, Dario, Although I don't specifically know of any doctors, ie. naturopaths, in Maryland, Virginia, DC, Pennsylvania or Delaware who advocate raw food diets per se (if you live in these areas), I can recommend 2 excellent doctors who fit your basic description. One crucial correction should be made though. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I doubt there's such a profession as a " naturopathologist. " If such exists outside the lucid imagination of Stephen King, I suspect it would be an MD who specializes in performing autopsies on cadavers whose spiritual inhabitants ate a natural diet, ie. hygienic vegan diet (Garden of Eden). These doctors' names are the eminent Doug Graham, DC (chiropractor) who lives in Florida, and Tim Trader, ND (naturopath) who recently moved to California. Although I've never been under their care as a client, based on my numerous personal interactions with them, I've no doubt their bedside manners are at the peak of professionality. Their breadth of knowledge and wisdom along with their humanity and progressive paradigms make them both bona fide gifts to the health care community. While Doug may no longer be in private practice last time I heard, Tim has regular clients on a private basis in my understanding. While I haven't been a direct client of Tim, I was technically under his care last October for the entire month while I fasted for 21 days at the Tanglewood Wellness Center in Frederick, MD. (A few months ago, TWC was permanently moved to Panama where a raw food community will evolve.) Tim was by far the most personable and caring doctor under whose auspices my physical and emotional health was ever entrusted. I only wish I could've kept him for long-term maintenance outside my own self-care. You can also research names of naturopaths nationwide by clicking onto www.naturopathic.org & hopefully track one down who supports the raw food approach. If possible, find one whose credentials include an ND degree from Bastyr University in Seattle, WA. If you're interested in studying to become an ND yourself, I've been told this school is the cream of the crop, the Harvard of naturopathy in the U.S. Good luck.
