Guest guest
I have thought of this for several years... Imagine creating a giving circle, pooling moneys, and using it to support establishing raw foods programs in traditional settings. The following kinds of organizations could apply for the money... - Hospitals - Nursing Homes - Schools and college campuses - Prisons - Mental Health Facilities - Substance Abuse Treatment Centers - Shelters - Banks - After-school programs - etc. etc. etc.! I really don't have an idea on how to make that happen, but it just does seem to me, that among all the funding programs out there, that a Raw Food Fund could help spark positive changes. The moneys could be used to help establish a nutrition component for veterans who struggle with post-traumatic stress.... or for people who struggle with addiction.... etc. Of course, there's also a need for money for all the people getting into trouble with the law for their live foods lifestyle.. But maybe would have to be a different fund for that. Anyhow, I'm going to sleep, it's been a rich day, and I shared some of it in a separate email, but wanted to get this idea out while it's freshly re-inspired (by the soldier with identified post-traumatic stress drinking the diet soda, for instance.) Twenty people who each contribute $500 would be able to make 5 grants of $2000 each, or one big $10,000 grant... Thinking outloud, and hoping some good might eventually come of it, Margie -- -- Marjorie Roswell 3443 Guilford Terrace Baltimore, MD 21218 mroswell 410-467-3727 RawFoodWiki.org 50BushFlipFlops.org BaltimoreVillage.org
