Guest guest
Nancy, thanks for being willing to share your views, although vastly different than mine. On one hand there is this idealistic world you talk about were everybody is really trying to help out and you post about bering afraid to go down to the armory, and are they organized or what might happen to the things you bring. The only way to get to there is from here. Ommiting parts of what is taking place is not being loving it is not truly being honest. So many courageous acts are taking place and acknowledging them is in order. To pretend the injustices don't exist is not the solution. Look at were you are willing to travel alone and we can get in touch w/our own stereotypes and fears. Until we are ready to grasp the corrupt and destructive path of our government we will not make the choices and sacrifices needed to create an enlightened society. Pretending all is well in Mayberry, may be very comforting, but it contributes as much to the problem as the aggressors. They require our silence to operate "evil prevails when god men/women do nothing. Mark
Guest guest
Mark, I didn't mean I was afraid as in fear of being in DC, I just meant concerned that my trip would be ineffective. Reread that part. I don't mean to omit anything, I just want to get to the truth because some of the things said on other posts are the opposite of what I thought were accurate facts. I think we often choose to believe what we want to believe. I don't mean to block out the reality of injustice, I want to inspire people to move forward from the past, to forgive and to spread love and caring. I guess I'm just too naive to think that we could all live in peace - forgive me. However, it has been working in my life and I intend to keep spreading love as long as I am here. That is my purpose, to help people realize that there is a spiritual force in the universe that loves each of us far more than we could ever know and if we could realize the extent of that love and then realize that EACH person, EACH animal is also loved that much, Maybe, just Maybe we could find a way to respect and care for one another, to build a community of mutual support and guidance, helping everyone reach their dreams and to become the best that they can be. I will just do what Gandhi says, "be the change you wish to see in the world." Hugs to you - I miss seeing your warm, smiling face. You are a delightful person. Guest guest
no offense taking Nancy. to be loving or love is to live in the light, that requires bringing truth to ligh, even the ones of discomfort.. I understood the fear you spoke of, just a reminder that most of us have prejudgements about different things and can benefit from keeping an open mind, even if it goes against how we would like for things to be.Our spiritual self is perfect love, although we don't always actualize that to the physical experience, that's were growth is beneficial. in peace and love, Mark
