Guest guest
DAVID WROTE: pregnancy & childbirth invariably put the greatest strain on a woman's personal anatomy HELENA REPLIES: You're right. For many women it is. For me, pregnancy and childbirth were wonderful experiences. I had all back labor, with nothing I could call "pain" but I did have uncomfortable pressure on my back. Pain and pressure are two different things so I was very fortunate. I had a supportive husband AND wonderful midwife AND a doctor who had delivered 10,000 babies, many of them in Mexico in homes with dirt floors and no running water. He was a strong advocate of a no-drug, natural childbirth with the woman squatting, etc. I was very fortunate. I know I am very blessed and I thank God every day.
