Guest guest
Lynda, Thank you for your enlightened compliments. Unfortunately, this so-called " preacher " to whom you refer, namely Pat Robertson, is a standard reflection of the illegal and homicidal gang currently occupying the Oval Office against the will of the American people, notwithstanding their plummeting " approval " ratings. Robertson IMHO is about as anti-American as the right-wing comes, a la David Duke. I was somewhat relieved yesterday to read that Hugo Chavez plans to extradite Robertson to Venezuela for prosecution under international law by soliciting the murder of a foreign leader. Anyone who read the book or saw the film, " The Accused " starring Jodie Foster, knows fully well that solicitation of a crime is legally as heinous as the crime advocated itself & fully punishable under state, or in this case international, law. If 100% the American people were conscious of the U.S. Constitution, a.k.a. the fundamental " law of the land, " and appreciated it for all its worth, George Walker Bush's " approval " rating would be 0 at best. I wonder if the " founding fathers " who wrote this Constitution in 1789 had " approval " ratings in mind as if the Presidency (assuming no one would manage to hijack the Oval Office by conspiring with a voting machine company as occurred in 2004) was intended to be a popularity contest, instead of an executive system of responding affirmatively to the will of the people in the people's best interests. Anyone of intellectual honesty must acknowledge that this gang rules by fear alone. In contrast to Franklin Roosevelt's famous credo, the only thing Bush & his criminal gang have to fear is the *lack of fear* itself among the people over whom he rules. This might be described as " hypophobo-phobia. " I think I just coined a new word. Hypophobo-phobia, or the fear of a lack of fear, is antithetical to democracy, and consistent with your conceptualization of 100% raw foodists as lacking fear, our minority status facilitates success by anti-democratic regimes and criminals such as that due to the majority maintaining a self-destructive dietary and cultural regimen which can only further decimate the physical, emotional, psychological, spiritual and environmental health of all who inhabit these lands. Without the perpetuity of willful ignorance and the bigotry of speciesism in all its ugly forms, starting with what we put in our bodies at mealtime, those who truly hate our freedoms, namely those who themselves claim our alleged political enemies (ie. the " Axis of Evil " Triumvirate) fit this description, would never succeed in their dirty deeds. We have a moral imperative at all times, as citizens of what should ideally be a democracy, to speak truth to power unflinchingly. Larry Fishburne's Morpheus said it best in the sci-fi film " The Matrix " in his oft-repeated advice to Neo, " Free your mind!
