Guest guest
Namaste! Please contact the ladies at Pre-conceptions. Luz, Ama, Jamillah are wonderful Doulas (birth assistants to the mother) as well as birth assistants to midwives. It is wonderful when you are in labor to have a doula who will advocate when you may be unable to advocate for yourself. I just had these wonderful ladies on the radio with me 2 weeks ago and they are dynamite! You can reach them at 240.383.8765 or maluzcjohnson or ammachan. ‘Birthcare & Women’s Health’ is wonderful and I recommend them (having been to them myself and many of my patients/bellydance sisters as well) but they cannot take you after you are 6 months or so. I would say this is a great choice for general gyno care afterward and in preparation for the next baby. J To allay any potential anxiety and relax for your birth, I recommend you do a birth plan from now. You can do it online by filling in the blank of what you want to happen at your birth. You can print it and discuss it with your ob/gyn ahead of time (at your next visit) and bring it with you to present to all the folks attending your birth. This is essential so as to positively visualize the way you want your birth to go and for everyone to be on the same page with you (i.e. ‘If I go past my due date and the baby and I are fine, I prefer to go into labor naturally rather than be induced’). Here is a link to easily set up your customized plan: http://earthmamaangelbaby.com/birth_plan.html . You will feel much better after you have this plan in your hands. Please let me know if I can help any further. ~Sunyatta www.vegsoul.com 202-545-8888 On Behalf Of Elaine Wednesday, August 31, 2005 12:08 AM Re: when is a good time to go to the hospital May I suggest contacting " BirthCare & Women's Health, " as soon as possible? They are located at 1501 King Street, Alexandria, VA, Phone:703-549-5070 also at www.birthcare.org. You'll be glad you did.
