Prior to working for WHS, she worked in PETA's (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) Research, Investigations, and Rescue Department. Ms. Meier, with a decade of animal advocacy and proven leadership, was appointed Executive Director of Compassion Over Killing (COK) in January 2005. COK works to end animal abuse by focusing on cruelty to animals in agriculture and promotes vegan eating as a way to build a kinder world for all of us, both human and nonhuman.
