Guest guest
I wanted to share some fitness triumphs that I've experienced over the past few weeks, while eating a raw diet (for 3.5 months). My pilates instructor has decided to have contests to incent the students to strive towards the next fitness level. The first contest was a push-ups contest. I did more push-ups during that contest than any other person in the class. (The class consists of just one gender -- females. There are no men in the class.) The second contest was a reverse-plank contest. To do a reverse- plank, one elevates herself (including the derriere), with her back facing down, resting on ones's hands (turned towards the rear) and heels. The challenge was to remain elevated longer than the best time posted of all of her classes. Not only did I remain elevated beyond anyone else in the class, but I exceeded the best time of all of the classes by 80%. Moreover, the only reason why I stopped was because the instructor told me that that was enough. Anyway, the thing to note is that I am not the most fit person in the class, nor am I the strongest. There are plenty of people in the class who have chiseled physiques that I admire. I believe that I was able to do this because of my mental focus and energy level. It certainly was not due to my physical strength. I share this as a response to those who question the energy-level of raw foodists. I'm sure that many of who have your own triumphs. . .Please add this one to the bunch as well!
