Greetings Members:

My apologies for not having gotten around to telling you about (JAVA Green's Raw Chef) Elijah Joy's "Prefix" at JAVA Green about a month ago. DJ the owner and Elijah were featured on Dr. Amen's Bush Medicine Show (WPFW 89.3FM) last month. All I can say is that we were treated with royalty. Comfortably seated under beautiful, huge orange and green umbrellas, outside the cafe', we couldn't ask for more.

DJ, the owner was the perfect host along with his Mom and Elijah in concert with his assistant prepared the most mouthwatering and to die for dishes right before our eyes and proceeded to serve us. Just to name a few. . .

Chili Almond Taco made with almonds, xtra-v olive oil, thai coconut meat and water, cilantro, dried Mexican Chippitoles, fresh lemon and orange juice and Elijahs special secret herbs and spices. This pate' was then stuffed in sweet red bell peppers on the half and garnished with beautiful colors of dark olives and cilantro.

We were also served "Surprise Inshala Kale," and although I can't tell you all of the ingredients, here is some of what I tasted and saw. . . fresh orange juice, a touch of stra-v olive oil, fresh garlic, clove powder, cinnamon, plump golden raisins and a little wasabe. This was topped off with fresh sliced avos and yellow bell strips.

DJ's Mom prepared an excellent Radish Seaweed Salad with fresh basil, julienned radishes, carrots, portabello mushrooms, cucumber and a just right wasabe sesame dressing.

DJ prepared for us a dish that resembled Kim Chi (did I spell that right?)but was made with Baby Bok Choy marinaded with a few red chillies, fresh seasame leaves, sliced cucumber and scallion. Again, I don't have the whole recipe. But then to top it all off we left with a smoothie made with fresh OJ, Mango, Thai Coconut meat and some othe secret ingredients.

It may not be too late for you to place an order for the weekend. Give Elijah a call tomorrow (July 1)to place an order.

Ron and I stopped by yesterday and picked up some Go-Go Collards and yet another pate'. Wish I had more for lunch tomorrow.

JAVA Green is a Vegetarian Cafe' that alos features Raw Food dishes.

Oh no you didn't! You did not go out partying, and now you come

back with an apology and a description of every mouthwatering

detail. Actually, I'm glad you reminded me of the place. I was

planning to check them out, and then, I forgot. So I ain't mad

at 'cha, but don't do it again. ;o) Peace and Bleassings.
