How about the guys in the group near or far, whomever can make it to the DC Metro area get together and put on 's first ever "UN Cook-Off?" Surprise us by displaying your best dishes, created by you or recipes that you particularly like and tantalizes the taste buds of the women and children and the other guys in the group. It'll be a chance for you to fill up your "Bragg Bag." A few years ago, Khepere and Sunyatta hosted an event like this on an impromptu smaller scale and ladies and gents I tell ya, it was a very interesting and tasteful event. Khepere, Ron, Gary and Denzel got busy in the kitchen while we women waited patiently. They wouldn't even let us in the kitchen! What came from the kitchen in addition to the sounds of chopping, blending, juicing and processing were the mouth watering aromas of fresh herbs, fruits and veggies. We could hardly wait, and while we waited, to our surprise, we were served an array of crudites, pates and beverages. It'll be a "Guy Thang." Come on men, be creative, you can do this. What we need is a volunteer to host the event. The date must be either May 21st or 22nd. May 28th and 29th are not in the running. The BOCA Fest will be the next big event for you to attend on those dates. Due to the fact that every weekend in June is booked for me, the sweet twist to this event is that I will be calling on the ladies to return the honor in the month of July on the either the 16th or 23rd. Are you with me ladies? Let's make it a very special Raw Event. I personally, would like to also invite a guest speaker. Give me your feed back. How many men are actually on this list? Would this " Raw-Off " require us to prepare dishes on the spot? I'm willing to partake in this challenge IF I have others helping me to prepare such concoctions, but preparing them on my own would take too long in front of others in most cases. The proposed date(s) of 5/21 or 5/22 sound feasible, but who in the DC area will step up to the plate? Peace, David " E.
