Good morning Elaine and everyone,

I always smile when we get into the subject of hilighting the amazing benefits

of

any one particular organically grown, properly ripe fruit. I am following my own

body's inclinations, but currently find that I happen to take more calories per

week

from bananas than any other fruit - probably around 40 lbs.

The real blessing here might be that point of understanding that fruits in

general

are the perfect fuel for us, providing not only optimal nutrition, but hydration

too.

In my opinion, there's a special stability to any human system that is running

on the

cleanest possible fuel, and it provides great personal satisfaction in

achieving that

point of refinement, no matter what the particular chosen set of fruits are.

My work takes me all over the city, in and outdoors. Bananas are convenient

because of their density and the speed with which I can begin chowing. If, as

often

happens, the combination of warmth and beating up against the equipment I haul

has rendered the bananas soft and sort of `over-ripe', I find that they convert

to

energy just that much faster.

I participated in the delivery of a training exercise last week at a

confectionery

manufacturer's offices. I knew that baskets of their products would be handed

about for sampling, and they were, along with meat filled sandwiches, etc. By

the

end of the meeing, my position at the conference table was marked only by a pile

of banana skins. This obvious visual and lifestyle contrast sometimes begs

comments or questions. Preparation in this world is everything!
