I was wondering why see baking soda to be so useful and beneficial

from a health standpoint. I thought that baking soda was nothing more

than sodium bicarbonate or salt. I thought that, and I could be

wrong, that the only difference between sodium bicarbonate and sodium

chloride(table salt) was the carbon dioxide utilized in sodium

bicarbonate to balance the negative and positive ions in the sodium.

My own experience with using baking soda as a " natural deodorizer and

cleaner " for my teeth and armpits, caused a very high level of

acidity in my body as well as scorching my armpits and darkening

them. I don't see the benefits of using something that is salt based.

I am just seeking some clarity on this.

Peace,

Maulana
