Greetings Members:

It seems that our young brothers ruled this past weekend at the Kids Rockin' Raw Potluck. The only young sister in attendance was my granddaughter, Lynelle who presented, as Chefy Denzel would say "Shut Yo Mouth" Raw Mac & Cheese.

David, one of the hosts (Mark's oldest son), presented a mouth watering Apple Pie that could really stand up to your grandmother's apple cobbler. VERY tasty!.

I'm not exactly sure of what Josh (Mark's younger son) presented but what I am sure of is that Josh ate some of everything as long as he could reach it. I tell you, the little guy can pack it away. Elise's son, (help me out Elise) presented an amazing coconut cake decorated with fresh shredded coconut and assorted sliced fruit. A very unique cake if I may say so myself.

Monica and Teresa, I need your help also. I think I arrived after your son's dishes had been eaten.

The remaining raw chefs were a little too young to prepare a dish but they certainly enjoyed themselves.

As usual, there were other great tasting dishes prepared by the adults. I particularly liked the avo salad and there was a very good tasting tossed salad.

David F., thanks so much for the delicious chocolate cookies (forgive me, but I forgot the correct name) and for all of the educational raw facts and tips that you shared with us. They were very helpful. I look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events.

If I missed anyone please feel free to chime in and by all means, everyone please post your recipes, preferably in the "Files" section under "Kids Rockin' Raw Potluck Recipes" in s home page.

For starters I will begin by placing the "Save the Tuna" recipe that I presented.

Karen, I haven't forgotten about you.

Thank you Cheryl, for offering your home for the this event.

If you didn't make it to Raw Soul.com's Food Preparation, Demo and Tasting event by Lillian Butler and Eddie Robinson on Sunday, then you really missed an evening full of vital information and fantastic raw food.

The atmosphere held a remarkable resemblance of a fine restaurant. We were ushered to tables draped with fine tablecloths adorned with bud vases with fresh cut flowers, soft lights and jazz playing in the background.

Listening to Lillian and Eddie's presentations, you couldn't help but notice that their work is their true calling. They put themselves and lots of sincerity into what they were doing and saying.

For beginners, there were very careful sprouting demonstrations of various nuts, seeds and grains, with the expert input from Pam Hooks, juicing wheat grass, making rejuvelac, proper use of a dehydrators and of course easy to follow recipes.

The finale consisted of Lillian's and Eddie's versions of "I can't believe it's Raw Pizza and more Greens to die for." The Pineapple Upside-down Cake was simply divine.

I hope to have them return to the area this summer.Good Health to You

Hi, Elaine

Yes, both events of this week-end were very memorable.

I'm so glad I took the time to do all that driving. It

was sooo worth it! Everyone was so lovely and

inspiring, and all of the food was divine!!!!

My older son, Jonah, was responsible for the Spinach,

avocado and grapefruit salad (it's his favorite

salad!) He had some help from Mom and Rose Lee

Calabro( " Living in the Raw " ) on the Coconut cake,

though it was his idea to make it which counts for

almost everything!

I made your save the tuna salad this afternoon,

thinking that I would get to munch on it for a couple

days. Yeah, right! My guys had it inhaled in a couple

hours. It is so tasty!

And I am still dreaming of that raw pizza! Got my

buckwheat soaking as we speak....

Blessings,

Elise
