Plus who said that that was the correct way to observe lent? As a child we gave up candy and my family did not eat flesh. I believe that we should not judge folks. This group is comprised of many different religious backgrounds so we should be respectful of that. In the words of George Carlin "I was Catholic until I came to the age of reasoning. Today I am a Spiritual Being. I have no isms or cisms to hold me down." What do you consider yourself to be other than the lent keeper? Do you get ashes, and attend services? Namaska, Lynda .
