Guest guest
I'm glad to the State of Science Review (SSR) on Organic Foods and Antioxidants on BrixTalk. The SSR is essentially a literature review. The bibliography has 273 papers and abstracts. I'm on the Scientific and Technical Advisory Committee that reviewed the SSR on antioxidants in fruits and vegetables for The Organic Center for Education and Promotion. The higher amounts of antioxidants in organic produce was pronounced. The scientific literature commonly uses the term Soluble Solids Content (SSC) to measure Brix. The SSC is sometimes a key parameter used to evaluate differences between fertilizer treatments or between varieties of fruit, but at other times it is not reported.
