Guest guest
We must become more holistic as we consider raw food and advocate the raw food diet. Our conversations should not tend toward absolutism. I understand the optimism and enjoy the controversy. Every "body" is different and has different needs. One "body" can consume lots of a substance without having an adverse affect and another will constipate from it with only small amounts. It brings to mind homeopathy ... a substance that kills at one dose heals at another. Relativity. I find that when I exercise and I am at a high level of fitness my "body" is able to use or discard lots of food stuff that it does not do so when I am not exercising, olive and coconut oils for instance. So, for me, holistically, my body requires "a certain amount" of exercise, food, herbs, water, rest, sex, love (meditation, massage, caring, sharing), money, etc. in order to work harmoniously . And I emphasize "a certain amount." Too much of either and the smooth running computer (mind/body/soul) becomes unbalanced. I've been a vegan for 30+ years and realize there is no authority and no absolutes when it come to the bodies in which we live. And, I am not sure that any one diet is optimal for everyone. There is probably as many ways to approach the raw food diet as there are participants. I also feel that we must begin to use kinesiology, blood analysis, or what ever it takes to assist with determining our body's needs. My purpose and conscious efforts in the selection of diet is to maintain an "optimal quality of life" while in this vehicle. I resolutely accept death, living at higher states of consciousness as I travel on earth. Longevity is not promised me, but if by chance I reach 100+ years, or more, my efforts may contribute to a sound, balanced and integrated body/mind/soul so that I can love (serve, care, share with) and respect human kind and the other living creatures amongst us.
