Our featured poet this month is t. p. Don't forget to bring a poem or two and a friend or two for the OPEN MIC that always closes out our monthly Verse, Vibes & Bites Poetry Soiree at Barnes & Noble. Doc Powell will be on hand to drum for any poets on Djembe (African) drum that would like accompaniment. Grab a bite from the cafe as you relax to Doc's soothing vibes accompanying some of the best poetry DC has to offer! E-mail Sistah Joy, the event host, at Poetsistahjoy if you'd like to be featured at a future Soiree or would like more information about this free monthly event. Help promote poetry in DC by passing this announcement to your friends and fellow/sister poets and poetry lovers. I look forward to seeing on the 18th.
