Guest guest
Greetings all, I've really enjoyed reading all the postings since joining the group after the Veg Soul retreat even though I'm not living in the US I find it a very useful source of information and discussion – thank you. I am hoping to get some advice and share a few things… Firstly does anyone have any good recipes to make use of okra? I used to eat a lot of cooked okra and now I'm on the live vibe I still want to use it but aside from occasionally chopping it up in salads I'm stuck for inspiration. I have a few okra plants in the garden, which are bearing in abundance so I need to have a way to use them up as they are going to waste right now. Aris's reasonings and the subsequent discussion on this egroup about water were/are very interesting. I have certainly noticed a dramatic decrease in the amount of water I need now I'm eating raw. I do have quite good access to coconut water (although not really enough to be drinking it solely everyday) I did a one-day coconut water fast this week yet I found I was still feeling thirsty and it certainly wasn't for lack of coconut water (I had about 20!) but as much as I love it, it just doesn't seem to quench my thirst in the same way as water. Is this just a transitioning phase or is there any other insight you could offer on this? Luckily I can still collect spring water on occasions and all our bottled water is from local springs (I know it's still treated but I don't feel it's as bad as some) Maybe you have heard of Dr Masuru Emoto's research on water crystals, which shows the power of words and prayer on the crystalline structure of water. www.hado.net I find this research fascinating and if I have to drink water that is not from a `pure' source I bless it, thank it and revive it with positive word sounds, thoughts and intentions – I think his goes some way to making it `live' again J I was interested to read the info on Rejuvelac as I saw a recipe for it a few months ago and it sounded like something I wanted to try (although I still haven't gotten around to it!) However this recipe was made with cabbage rather than wheat. The info and instructions can be found in `The Tao of Detox' by Daniel Reid. I'll type it out and email if anyone wants it. I'm not sure if the same toxic effects would apply to this? I'm open to hearing more before I try it. Well I look forward to any help/feedback you have to offer Onelove Terri
Guest guest
Terri, okra is one of my favorite foods. I had red okra in my garden this summer for the first time. We had a really bumper crop and enjoyed it. Red or green it is delicious. I do hope you enjoy the recipe I sent you. I have another dehydrated recipe for okra. Do you dehydrate foods? When dehydrated it kind of becomes a snack food, like pop corn. Okra is a wonderful colon cleaner. As for the words and water, I saw the movie What the Bleep three times. I am so impressed with the levels of consciousness and the word. Tonight I will set up a bottle of water, with the power of the word. It is my understanding that glass bottles work best. Have you tried this process yet? As Christians we are taught that the word was with God. However much for what I was taught as a child was never fully explained. So you have information without a clue. Since I have become a live foodist I have met lots of spiritual people that have given new meanings to old information. Currently I am listening to the power of Now It offers similar ideas thru meditation to create your intent. I am glad you finally wrote in, it's great to have you aboard to liven up the live soul board. Lynda
