Guest guest
Greetings Rawsoul group. Thinking about the different foods and remedies available to us and the pros and cons (rights and wrongs. A health advocate once said although chemotherary and other conventional forms of cancer treatment are invasive w/a very low sucess rate, and even though there are natural remedies w/ higher degrees of sucess, that doesn;t mean the natural approach is the right one for everbody. Let's say some one is not willing to make dietary changes or self work or prayer, meditation, exercise, forgiveness ect. Conventional treatment may be what's best for them given who they are at that moment. In the same way we have various plants that produce things like herbs and spices and healing qualities which for someone w/a more ideal state of health or enviornment these very same remedies can react as irritants to them. Some say water fast is that only real fast and would prefer sending someone home who may not be ready where a juice fast or an all raw or all fruit diet may be beneficial. We have different constitutions different places w/ourselves. Part of my personal growth is to find out what works for me and be willing to share it w/others mindful that it may not be what's best for them. Our personal path is a wondeful gift we can share w/the world. When I lock into one way beacause of my age, size, heritage ect I actualyy limit possibilities even though the intent my be to instill a sense of identity. There are people in this group who may nor be raw or doing the " right " things yet they contribute imensely by sharing thier spirit. In a health support group a few years back the speaker was asked if he worked w/ certain atheletes and politicians in improving thier health. His response was no and also he mentioned that he did not wish to spend his time getting people back to health who aren't trying to make a positive impact on the world (not that atheletes and politicians all fall in one catagory). How I am impacting the planet has value in addition to what I eat. I don't believe transitioning to raw food necessarily creates a more spiritual person. The awareness may increase, though we still choose how to respond to that awareness. At a twelve step meeting years ago someone was complaining about someone eles's behavior when the chairperson remarked " we in a room full of recovering alchoholics, addicts, theives, liars, and muderers. if your looking for ideal behavior this is not the place. We're not bad getting good, we're sick getting well " . Lastly and importatnt I'd like to thank Elaine and Ron for reminding me of the concept all inclusive, which for me means all matters as opposed to all tolerated. peace and blessings, Mark
Guest guest
Well said Mark. It's so easy to judge others and their opinions and behaviors, rather than accept that we are all at different places on the journey and can help each other grow and heal along the way. There's no such thing as a perfect person, yet we are all precious and unique in God's eyes and worthy of respect and love. When I love and care for myself, that helps the world, as does when I love and care for others. We are all one "body", how we treat others is how we are treating ourselves.
