For the members of who have been with me since the start of the group on October 23, 2003, many thanks to you and everyone else who have worked hard and solicited your suggestions and offered your assistance when needed to help evolve to where it is today. I must admit that moderating this group has proved to be a much larger undertaking than I could ever have imagined but it has been equally rewarding, many times over. My circle of new friends has literally overlapped and the information and education acquired has been most helpful. Even though I don't hear from all 175 of you on a regular basis, I do hope that the information and dialogue provided here has been equally helpful to you. October 23, 2004 is fastly approaching which marks one year that has been up and running. In an attempt to strive towards a better and it's activities in the up coming year, I have arranged for a Meet-up next Saturday (10/23/04) between 5 and 8 pm here, in the Wash. DC Metro area. Location and specifics are to be announced. I chose to have a Meet-up rather than the big celebration that I had really anticipated, but my schedule during the previous month did not allow proper time for planning. Additionally, I need to know how many of you will be interested in a group meeting, to match faces with email addresses, exchange ideas and have dialogue on future events. This will not be a potluck of sorts, however, I am asking for help with live beverages, horsdoeuvres and/or donations of $10.00 each for food and paper/plastic untensils.
