Guest guest
Greetings all on day 12, I'm a bit late on this today - been a busy day! From God's Little Devotional Book for Parents " A day hemmed in prayer is less likely to unravel. Spiritual giants in every age have agreed about prayer: more is better. The founder of Methodism, John Wesley, spent one to two hours a day in private communication with God. The great Scottish preacher, John Welch, regularly prayed eight to ten hours a day, and then often awoke in the middle of the night to continue his conversation with the Lord. Both Martin Luther and Bishop Francis Asbury believed two hours of prayer a day was a minimum. These were not men who had nothing else to do. All advocated that a person combine prayer with work, including praying as one works. Today many parents lead such busy lives that they often think they have no time for prayer on behalf of their families. Yet the most powerful thing a parent can do is pray. As you drive to work, walk from place to place, or do mundane chores, talk to God ad length…. Listen for His advice. " Romans 8:31 " If God be for us, who can be against us?
