Good Morning to day 8 Rawsoulers,

Release the old and embrace the new. Learn from the past without having to make a judgment of it. Acknowledge the outcome when you say or do certain things and adjust your actions accordingly.

The following are tidbits from an excellent book called, Natural Brilliance by Paul Scheele " As children learn to walk, everything they do plays into their success. Falling was perfectly important feedback, not failure, but another step in the learning process. Find a nonjudgmental position from which you observe learning taking place. Everything you do produces an outcome, not a failure. Everything a baby learns is relevant. They never question whether they will succeed; they expect success. "

From The Power of Focus by Jack Canfield: " To release yourself totally from the baggage of the past, you must learn to forgive. There are two sides to this. First, you need to forgive the people who obstructed you in the past - parents, friends, relatives or teachers. In fact, anyone who undermined or abused your confidence verbally, physically or mentally. To be free you must forgive them. Second, forgive yourself. The past is history. You will never be able to change it. Instead, accept the fact that whatever you did, your choices were based on your level of knowledge and awareness at the time. The same goes for your parents. Don't blame them for you upbringing - they did what they did based on their circumstances, belief systems and parenting ability. "

From God's Little Instruction Book: " Some people complain because God put thorns on roses, while others praise Him for putting roses among thorns. "

Philippians 4:8 " Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, thing on these things. "

I Thessalonians 5:16 - 18 " Rejoice always, pray constantly, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God… "

Why can we do this? Because we know that all that happens is to bless us somehow; either for us to learn something, to have joy, or to have an opportunity to grow in loving.

Always look for the good in every situation and every person; when you do, you WILL find it :-)

Delight in the journey,

Nancy
