Please join us for the next Raw Vegan Potluck this Sunday, October 3

from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the home of Dana Verkouteren in Cabin

John, MD. This is inside the beltway right on the Potomac. Bring

only raw vegan food to share, preferably organic, and your own plate

and utensils with which to eat and serve. An ingredient list placed

next to your dish is helpful for those with special dietary

interests/constraints. For ideas on what to bring, check out

http://rawfoods.com/recipes/, or feel free to bring fresh seasonal

fruit, a fruit salad or a tossed salad.

General directions by car:

 

>From VA:

 

Go north 495 over the American Legion Bridge (western side of the

beltway) crossing the Potomac River. Stay in the right hand lane as

you cross over into Maryland and take the first exit, Clara Barton

Parkway, the exit splits, stay right, follow Clara Barton Parkway

about one mile, take the Cabin John exit. At the top of the exit go

left (crossing over the parkway), take a right on Ericsson Road

(just before Macarthur Blvd), go right on Froude Circle, 6th

house on the right behind tall hedges. #11 Froude Circle, behind the

overgrown hedges.

 

>From MD:

 

Go south on 495 towards the Potomac River (on the western side of

the beltway); Take River Road Exit Left on River Road towards

Potomac, stay in the left lane. The next light is Seven Locks Road,

go left. Follow to the end at a T intersection. Go left on Macarthur

Blvd. Next stop sigh take a right (there's no road name for this

turn since it is just an access road to the Clara Barton Parkway).

Make an immediate left onto Ericsson Road, then another quick right

onto Froude Circle, 6th house on the right, #11 Froude Circle,

behind the overgrown hedges.

 

>From DC:

 

Go west on the GW parkway; go north into 495 into Maryland; stay in

the right lane, you are taking the next exit onto the Clara Barton

Parkway. Parkway exit splits, stay right. Go one mile, take Cabin

John exit. Go left at the top of the exit, about 300 yards. Turn

right onto Ericsson Road, then right onto Froude Circle, 6th house

on the right, #11 Froude Circle, behind the overgrown hedges.

 

Public Transportation:

 

It looks like public transportation is not available. Please call

Steve (202) 986-7816 if you need a ride from Metro. I'll be leaving

Columbia Heights (DC, Green Line) metro station around 3:30 and

would be happy to take up to four people with me. If other people

can offer rides from other locations, I'll put you in touch with
