Guest guest
Thank you Zatittie for that lovely e-card to Elaine and Ron. I second all the comments. So, how is everyone doing? I'd love to hear feedback on how people are making it through the 21 day challenge. There may be some of you who are tired and some who are cleansing and some who feel absolutely terrific. It will come - keep pushing through! See where you will be at the end. From my perspective: Life is like a daily birthday party. God has presents for us each day. They are joy, peace, strength, adventure, blessing, and best of all, intimacy with His spirit. He waits for us to come to Him to receive all He wants to share with us. He's holding out a beautifully wrapped gift for you. Will you take it?? From The Essene Gospel of Peace: For your body is that which you eat, and your spirit is that which you think. Eat nothing, therefore, which a stronger fire than the fire of life has killed. Cook not, neither mix all things one with another, lest your bowels become as steaming bogs. For I tell you truly, this is abominable in the eyes of the Lord. ...And enter only into the Lord's sanctuary when you feel in yourselves the call of his angels, for all that you eat in sorrow, or in anger, or without desire, becomes a poison in your body. Place with joy your offerings upon the altar of your body, and let all evil thoughts depart from you when you receive into your body the power of God from his table.... Rejoice, therefore, always with God's angels at their royal table, for this is pleasing to the heart of the Lord." "This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it." Psalm 118:24 Today is the only today that you have - live it, right now, to the fullest. From The Power of Now, by Eckhart Tolle: "Realize deeply that the present moment is all you ever have. Make the Now the primary focus of your life.... The whole essence of Zen consists in walking along the razor's edge of Now - to be so utterly, so completely present that no problem, no suffering, nothing that is not who you are in your essence, can survive in you. In the Now, in the absence of time, all your problems dissolve. Suffering needs time; it cannot survive in the Now. The great Zen master, Rinzai, in order to take his students' attention away from time, would often raise his finger and slowly ask: 'What, at this moment, is lacking?' A powerful question that does not require an answer on the level of the mind. It is designed to take your attention deeply into the Now. A similar question in the Zen tradition is this: 'If not now, when?' Exercise, now. Eat raw, now. Delight in who you are, now. Enjoy oneness with God, now. Love to all of you, Now :-) Nancy
