Guest guest
One of my goals for the 21 challenge (which I took time to visualize happening) was to begin running in the mornings (before 6am), a task I have wanted to achieve all summer to beat the summer heat. I hoped to solicit a friend to join me. Last night my friend and I agreed to “turn over a new leaf” with the change to fall. She is a nursing mom who rarely gets to sleep so we half heartedly agreed that she would call me at 5:45 if she gets up and we would go. (No alarms for either of us, just if her body had enough sleep and she woke up on her own she would call and we would go.) At 5:40 I was awakened from a vivid dream by our phone ringing. It was a half hearted ring, one I have not heard before. I got up and checked caller ID….nobody called? I am figuring my intent being stated and visualized that my body “heard” the ringing of the phone at the time I wanted to get up. As my friend got her much needed sleep, I went for my first sunrise jog about a year. It was absolutely beautiful to watch the sun rise over the Atlantic Ocean (I live in Virginia Beach.) As I jogged at 6am I directed my focus to Nancy’s thought for day one and was hoping that others on this challenge were experiencing the beginning I am. I plan to take my daughter down to the beach for the sunset tonight as we watch Fall’s first day pass. I’d love to hear anyone else’s first day successes/concerns/challenges. Guest guest
Bev, Thanks for sharing your day one. I'm hoping to get up at 5:30 tomorrow - but that means I better get to bed soon! My intent for this 21 days is, well actually there are several :-), I want to work on strengthening and shaping up my legs, especially calf muscles; I want to get into a solid routine for daily exercise, spiritual devotions, organizing my nutrition information, starting my job, eating a wide range of raw foods, and caring for my family. I'm excited about this opportunity to all cheer each other on. Lynda, did you tell us your intent? If so, sorry, I'll go hunt for it. And how about others??
