Guest guest
The 21 day challenge is coming close. For those of you who are joining in here are some thoughts to help you achieve your goals. Know your goals. Write them down if you can. A little journal book goes a long way. Write down your goals and then daily write your moods/thoughts/experience. There is a sense of ownership/commitment/accountability when something is in writing. Claim it and own it. Set your home up to achieve your goals. Get rid of “tempting” foods and more importantly, FILL YOUR CABINETS with fresh fruits/veggies. Don’t give yourself an easy out, be prepared so you can grab something easy when you get cravings for something you are trying to avoid. Get your work-out clothing ready. Set it out so it is staring you in the face when you wake up in the morning. Put it on even if you don’t think you feel like going. Getting out the door is ½ the battle, so be ready and you’ll be more likely to go. It’s easier to get out if you are already dressed. (Not to mention, who wants to take off clean work out clothing??) Find a friend to help you fulfill your fitness goals. Going with a buddy is easier and often gives you the boost you need to get out the door. If you have a goal picture of what you hope to physically achieve keep it visible, post it on your mirror or refrigerator so you see it each day. Take a “before picture” so you have a comparison in 21 days. Commit to having a before and after picture taken so you will know you are truly expecting results. (FYI ~ I plan to post mine to the group assuming my neighbor will help me with the technology. And I’d LOVE to see some others!!) For those with loved ones on different paths, let those close to you know about your goals. This will save them from tempting you unknowingly. As crazy as they may think it seems, if they know it is only for 21 days they may give you support to try. THEN when they see the results on all levels they may be interested in trying themselves or continuing to support you without the preconceived judgment that you have gone off the deep end. A 21 day challenge may be less threatening to a loved one not on this path than a life change of what they may see as you giving up a normal life. If anyone else has ideas for success, please post. These are some that have helped me in the past. BEV
Guest guest
Hi Beverly, I'm Micaela and new to the group. I wrote an introduction early yesterday and no one responded. I wonder if anyone received it? Anyway, I guess I'm not sure when the 21 day challenge begins. It sounds really great, something in which I would love to participate. Please let me know if you received my introduction message and when the 21 day challenge begins. Thank you. Micaela Beverly Coose <mermaidcharter wrote: The 21 day challenge is coming close.
