Thanks for posing those thoughts. I do have my ideas and what it is for me.

Although the enzymes in plants are not the same as human enzymes the enzymes in

our digestive tract is sufficient to digest raw food. Cooked foods and non vegan

foods require additional body enzymes to digest and studies show an increase in

white blood cells when cooked foods are consumed. For whatever reason the body

is reacting to cooked food as an invader (something that doesn't belong there).

I lean more towards trusting the wisdom of the body. As for b-12 ferments and

produce right out the garden or tree are good sources. Sometimes trying things

out and see what fits is the solution. On a personal note, I increased my

protien intake by adding hemp protien in my green juices and put on about seven

lbs in two weeks (which is great for me)and an ankle injury that's been

lingering for about two years has finally healed. From what I eat I'm told I

should have sufficient protien intake and adding more would not benefit. My

personal experience said likewise. I don't think there's one right way. Choose,

choose, choose, examining the data is not the same as trying things out. Elaine

often says " trust your body " . Of all the info we collect we still have the most

experience w/ our own body.

peace,

Mark
