Guest guest
Hello : I've been pretty busy the last few weeks and I'm going back and reviewing the different e-mails more thoroughly. They all help me keep on track; they help strengthen my resolve when I am around something I'd like to eat, like something very fried! I prepare raw foods for myself, as well as cooked foods for other family members...Instead of trying to have totally different ingredients for food served at the same meal, I am using most of the same the ingredients for both preparations. This will help the raw keep going. The other day, I fixed a stir fry- snow peas, tofu, corn, red pepper in a teriyaki type sauce, and for myself, a snow pea, corn, red pepper salad, with a delicious raw dressing. I know this isn't rocket science ( " duh " ) to try to use the same ingredients, but before, I was making two very different things at meals which gets tired after awhile. I think the advantage of preparing food this way is that my daughter also samples the raw alternative. I'd be interested to know how other families approach this challenge. Finally, I am thinking of the people who are evacuating for the third time, individuals on Grenada, and Jamaica, other locations in the Caribbean...with whatever faith practice we have, let us pause and send them healing thoughts, may they be aware of the silver linings in the clouds...Blessings, Ashtarra
