Guest guest
I definitely agree that spirituality and diet go hand in hand along with the other aspects of our lives (physical, mental, emotional). I read your fabulous bio (Lynda) for a second time back when you posted the question and I never took the time to put in my 2 cents….partially because I have so many times before and didn’t’ want to be redundant for those who have been connected to raw soul for a while. I was hoping to hear from others as I have enjoyed the responses from those who have posted prior to your request, in past posts. I am definitely looking forward to “What the Bleep” coming to Virginia, thanks for spreading the word. I am putting my feelers out to for two ideas I had. In an attempt to stay focused on physical exercise I went to a “personal fitness program” site I found in a search. Though I liked the ideas it fostered: accountability to commitment, dialogue with counselor, new workout ideas, I did not to the program. I did not want to commit to someone/something with such different nutritional ideas. Along the lines of spirituality and diet going hand in hand, I think that one’s exercise program should follow suit with the lifestyle choice made. Now to my first idea, I’m interested in doing something similar to the 21 day raw challenge while incorporating fitness goals. We could have general guideline to help direct goals while allowing flexibility for individuals to make/achieve personal/individualized goals. We could have a start/stop date for those who are interested, yet allow anyone to jump on board when they are ready. It would be motivating for me to be some degree accountable to more than just myself. By sharing similar goals, we are accountable to our commitment to try for a designated amount of time to help us achieve life long goals towards improvement. My idea is to start on the first day of Fall, September 22nd and run for 21 days. (3 weeks is the amount of time they say it takes your body to adjust to something new, so hopefully the end result will carry over for the duration.) Is anyone interested in doing a raw fitness challenge beginning on Fall Equinox? Personal goals could focus on being more raw (the degree is up to you) and improving your fitness activity (the degree is up to you). If one makes a 2% change every week, within a year he will have changed 100%....I’d like to begin refining with the coming of the new season! Is anyone else in??? Now, for #2, I am also toying with the idea of beginning personalized fitness programs for people. I have a degree in Health and Physical Education. I have taken certification courses in Personal Training, Aerobics and Bench Stepping. I have personally trained for and participated in: 5K and 10K events, four ½ marathons, one marathon, 4 triathlons, and 2 run/swim/runs among other events. (Notice I said participated in, not competed in…it is all for fun/fitness and enjoyment.) Though I am not a doctor, I do feel I have the background knowledge, practical experience, and level of commitment to help those who need help in the area of fitness. I was thinking of designing a background questionnaire and goals sheet to evaluate individual needs to enable me to create personalized training programs with ongoing support through e-mail communications. As I said before, I am just putting my feelers out to see if there is any interest. If anyone has any ideas/thoughts or input, it will be appreciated. If anyone is interested in this type of consultation from me please e-mail me and let me know via or off the loop. All information e-mailed off the loop will, of course, be kept confidential. I would like to know if this is something of interest to others and worth pursuing. Great health to all, BEV Namaska7 [Namaska7] Tuesday, September 14, 2004 4:46 AM Cc: 12StepstoRawFood ; RevDwightSMC What The Bleep Blessing Raw Family, Not too long ago ,I put out a request for those folks on the live food path to engage in a little spirirtual wareness and developement.
