blueberries and other organic foods...

Hi there all,

Wanted to send over this information. The folks at will probably

already know most of this but wanted to send it again anyway.

Just went to the ROOTS MARKET again today in Clarksville. I love this

place more and more. I'm going to miss this when we move.

They have this nice, but sort of expensive, shop

http://nestnaturalhome.com/ - called NEST (stands for Natural Elements

Selected Thoughtfully) - lots of hemp products there, things for

meditation, organic cotton clothes - anyway, very nice stuff and fairly

traded so it's good to go there. You can also find items in many

different price ranges so a gift shop it is for sure.

Of course the cheaper version of this is http://www.serrv.org - and they

have a store in MD not too far from Frederick if you wanted to go up

there and look around.

Affiliated with NEST and ROOTS is this organic vegetarian restaurant

which opened probably last month or so: http://great-sage.com/ I took a

look at this menu and we'll be making a stop here before we move.

At the workshop I attended this weekend, I made mention of an organic

blueberry u-pick it place near clarksville. Since I drove there today, I

tried to find it. The signs for u-pick it aren't up now obviously

because this isn't really the time for blueberries. I don't remember if

I had posted a phone number for them but I can ask my friend and get it

to you if you want it. They are located on RT 108 about a 1/2 mile to 1

mile east of RT 650/New Hampshire Rd. I think the mail box said #237 but

I was driving and could have gotten this incorrect. Anyway, check them

out for next spring and maybe they'll have other fruits available by

then too. I wouldn't drive up there unless they've got a sign out and

again, if I can find a number, I'll post it.
