Guest guest
Hi Margie, Thanks for the correction on the spelling of "scapes". This has allowed me to finalize my research on them. Before, I got no further than "garlic chives" which was totally different. I'd been give incorrect info on scapes. Now that it's cleared up, here's what I found on garlic scapes, for starters: http://www.laterregarlic.com/index.htm this site provides a little history on a variety of garlic and how scapes are derived. Today I had the day off, and went to Spoutwood Farm, and picked broccoli, squash, and kale, and bundled flowers and chard, and made sharedeliveries. Much more meaningful than my paid work, but then, maybe it wasjust the change of pace that made it so delightful.BTW, I'm doing raw food potluck in Baltimore on Thursday, give a ring, or an email if you'd like to attend (all are welcome) mroswell, 410-467-3727.(Attendees are black, white, young, old, hearing, deaf, and basically, whomever shows up on a given every-other-Thursday. Food's always been terrific.)I'm not 100% raw, but I do love raw cuisine. Sincerely,MargieOn Mon, 5 Jul 2004, E.
