Guest guest
Peace, I did not for get my pledge for a donation, from last Saturday's fund raiser. I am placing my check in the mail in the morning. Also the women in my last weeks class want to read: Sexual Secrets of The Tao as a group. I will e-mail them your site to purchase the book. We plan to discuss the book as a group. This will be fun. Please consider giving a class soon. Blessing of Radiant Health, Lynda
Guest guest
Greetings Family, Our very own ‘Moor Hips’ Bellydance Troupe will be offering a workshop in conjunction with the International Capoeira Foundation in Baltimore. Let your friends/family know and come on out yourself! Let’s have a great culturally enriching time! The bellydance workshop is on Sunday, May 30th from 12-1:30pm. There is also a children’s Capoeira workshop – I know a lot of parents have been asking so HERE WE GO! J Let’s turn all that energy, flipping and kicking over the furniture into something skillful, positive and progressive. And all the brothers who I’ve talked to recently about getting more exercise, this is a great opportunity to get started. Here is the list of events. Love to see you there! ~Sunyatta ICAF Baltimore presents: 2nd Annual Malcolm X Celebration Workshops with Contra Mestre Themba Mashama Friday May 28th- Sunday, May 30th ABOUT THE MALCOLM X RODA AND WORKSHOP The 2nd annual Malcolm X Roda and Workshop will be held starting the night of May 28th and continue through the evening of May 30th. We are lucky to be able to bring Contra Mestre Themba Mashama to lead the workshops and lecture on Capoeira and community building. Contra Mestre Themba Mashama has been studying Capoeira for 25 years, starting with Mestre Bira Almeida and then continuing with Mestre Moraes in GCAP. He is currently running the CAPOEIRA ANGOLA VELHO PRETO group in Oakland, California. Come out and learn from one of the most innovative Angoleiros this side of Brazil! On Sunday we will pour libation to honor El-Hajj Malik El Shabazz (Malcolm X). This is a community event not only for Capoeiristas, but for the community at large! Please come out and support this event, as it is one of the rare visits to the East Coast for CM Themba.
