Guest guest
Hello Raw Soul: I was excited the last couple of days to get a few of the raw food preparation books, some which I heard about when I first joined . A few weeks ago, there was discussion on about food combining. The Raw Gourmet, by Nomi Shannon is one of the new books I purchased. It has a detailed discussion about food combining and lists of food to combine and not combine, which came out of Hippocrates Institute. Nomi Shannon is a Health Educator there. The recipes she has in the book are according to food combining guidelines. Some of the recipes seem bland to me, but Nomi Shannon says that the food combining helps quicken the body's healing process because the body doesn't have to extend extra energy in using different digestive enzymes to digest food that is combined improperly. She also points out that Gabriel Cousens says that if a person is eating raw, there doesn't need to be the same concern about food combining. Forgive me if you all have already had this discussion on , but the resource and information was helpful for me and I thought it might be helpful for others who have just recently tuned into ...Ashtarra
