A little info: Capoeira is a martial art form brought with the captive Africans during the slave trade in Brazil. The Capoeiristas had to practice in secret because capoeira was a form of warrior training and therefore outlawed on plantations for fear of slave uprisings. So the martial art was disguised as a beautiful (but still potentially deadly) dance within a Roda (circle) of people. The dance-fight lives on today with the help of very committed Masters and students from all over the world. Below is the flyer. See you there!
