Guest guest
Hello Raw Soul... My first day of my 21 day raw foods focus was hopefully the most challenging. Ah, out to dinner with a large group of very dear friends who couldn't decide whether Dinosaur Barbeque or Red Lobster would be the place to dine. I don't exactly hang out in these places, but I knew I should be able to get a salad..but as the universe would have it, these places were too full to eat and we ended up at a salad bar place! Great...went to a fun concert...ah, the after concert coffee at Krispy Creme donut shop where they make donuts fresh...A much, much tougher place for me to be. So, I did pass my first test of will. I kept thinking of all the recipes I've seen on ! And I was just glad to get out of there, with no coffee or donut!!! Guest guest
Great for you. I find the first 3 days to be the toughest. That is why this group is so great. You have someone to talk to, who knows you are trying so in the back of your head you may find extra motivation to stay on track. NONE of my friends are raw or even vegan, so this is my only outlet to talk to people who understand the whys of it all. Guest guest
Hi Bev and Raw Soul...I feel the same way about having the support and being able to connect with people who are of like mind/soul! In previous years, I had many people in my life who were very conscious about what they chose to eat and during the last several I have not. I've felt I had some spiritual lessons to learn about people who were choosing to maintain a traditional U.S. diet. There have been some changes recently; maybe I've got that lesson! Peace, Ashtarra
