Mark,

I read in Steve Arlin’s book

RAW POWER that he has used the following formulas to “energize his blood,

build his body and gain 25+ pounds of healthy muscle weight.”

2-4 coconuts worth of coconut water

almost daily.

He scoops out the jelly like pulp as a meal or saves it for

smoothies or coconut custard.

He adds freshly made green juice to the coconut water, which

“saturates his body with usable muscle building minerals”.

CAPTAIN’s POWERHOUSE

In a blender:

1 young coconut (juice and pulp)

1 large avocado

2 handfuls of wild or organic greens

A second suggestion he gives is that he advocates eating

once or twice a day to gain strength and muscular weight. He says to eat large meals when you

eat. He says that raw foodist who eat all day long tend to be thinner ~ the body

thinks there is an abundance of food coming so the metabolism speeds up. He says that if you only eat 2 meals the

body thinks there is a shortage of food all day so it conserves energy and the

metabolism slows way down. He goes

on to say, if you eat a large meal before you go to sleep the body is not able

to process and assimilate most of the food so they gain weight (admittedly not

healthy weight??) Then says, after

you return to your desired weight you can return to a more sustainable eating

schedule.

Just thought I’d pass it along, not sure what I think

of all of it. Definitely not for

me, as I’d like to lose 15 pounds! J

BEV :)
