Congratulations Janice! It will just keep getting better! Of course, there will be some cleansing times where you feel extra tired or actually get a cold, but that is just the body cleaning out, so don't be surprised.

I agree about the nuts. I rarely use recipes anymore, I just eat a lot of mono (1 type of food) meals. Like right now my lunch is consisting of a BIG papaya. Then I also eat a lot of salad. But that can be simple too - greens, a few different veggies and then a home made dressing.

Here is a dressing I use regularly:

For one serving of dressing (which is for a whole big plate of

greens and veggies) I usually do something like this and

blend: 1 or 2 tomatoes, quartered and dropped in blender(sweet),

1/4 or 1/3rd of a rib of celery (salty flavor),

3 or 4 Tablespoons of either lime or lemon or a combo (sour),

when available fresh herbs (1/4 cup basil, a few sprigs parsley, cilantro, or

what ever I want, or dried oregano, etc)(spicy/bitter),

sometimes I'll put in a bit of onion or jalapeño or garlic if I want

some kick, finally I add 3 Moroccan Olives, pitted, so I get a

bit more creamy flavor(avocados are great too). I just love this basic

recipe. You can get a whole different flavor just by changing the herbs

or adding some kick. janice bailey [janice_bailey] Saturday, April 24, 2004 8:51 AM Subject: first week completeGreetings all,I am proud to say that today marks one week of eating raw fruits and vegetables. I am most proud because I wasn't a vegatarian before I started. My diet consisted of mostly meats. I don't desire meat at all, in fact, the idea of consuming it again is not appetizing to me. I feel so much better mentally, physically and spiritually. I am still working on obtaining all the equipment I need. Right now I am working with a regular household blender and a juiceman jr. The recipes that I have been able to make are minimal. Are there any recipes that don't require the dehydrator and food processor? I am also feeling a little overwhelmed with eating nuts. It seems that I need a break from nut recipes. Does anyone have a recipe for a bean curd salad or something different? I am also concerned with my weight and feel that eating too many nuts will add pounds.Peace and blessings,Janice
