Greetings all,

I am proud to say that today marks one week of eating raw fruits and

vegetables. I am most proud because I wasn't a vegatarian before I

started. My diet consisted of mostly meats. I don't desire meat at

all, in fact, the idea of consuming it again is not appetizing to

me. I feel so much better mentally, physically and spiritually. I

am still working on obtaining all the equipment I need. Right now I

am working with a regular household blender and a juiceman jr. The

recipes that I have been able to make are minimal. Are there any

recipes that don't require the dehydrator and food processor? I am

also feeling a little overwhelmed with eating nuts. It seems that I

need a break from nut recipes. Does anyone have a recipe for a bean

curd salad or something different? I am also concerned with my

weight and feel that eating too many nuts will add pounds.

Peace and blessings,

Janice

Greetings Janice,

I recently purchased a book that you may find helpful. The name is,

The Complete Book of Raw Food, edited by Lori Baird. It has over

350 recipes by raw chefs from all over the country. The good thing

about it is that at the top of each recipe they tell you exactly

which pieces of equipment you'll need. Many recipes require no more

appliances than you already have. The book is readily available in

most book stores; if not you can have them order it. Peace

In one of Aris's interviews he talked about combining food more based on their

water content. I have tries that ad it does work well for me although ten or so

bannanas by themselves or a couple of jumbo papayas works best for me.

Thank you Mark. I think I'll try it your way.

Then God said, I've given you every sort of seed-bearing plant on Earth And

every kind of fruit-bearing tree, given them to you for food. To all animals and

all birds, everything that moves and breathes, I give whatever grows out of the

ground for food. And there it was. Gen 1:29-30
