What a great event with Lynda and Denzel yesterday! I want to thank Brother Barook(sp??), Sunyatta, Matt, Ron, Elaine, Denzel, Lynda, and all the other helpers I don't know, for all your labor of love yesterday. It was great to see friends I haven't seen in a long time and to make some new friends.

Lynda, I loved your positive energy and enthusiasm up there! It was great how you had the man who wanted more details to just come right up there with you and go to work :-) . You were open and honest about what you'd been through and VERY humorous too. People felt your sincerity and could relate to you. Sharing the basics - equipment, daily menu, what to say and NOT say, what's " live " and what isn't, all was really helpful for all the beginners. I liked how you got your recipe book so you could read us the exact measurements to us as you went. The way you responded when folks said they hadn't gotten a taste of what you made, was perfect, " No problem, I'll just make you all some more. " :-) For me personally, I was encouraged to make rejuvelac and to eat more sea vegetables. Very practical, very fun, and very delicious! Thanks for making ALL that food!

Denzel (don't know if you're in this group?), you were obviously used to being in front of a group. You were articulate, thorough and dynamic in your presentation. You should market your salad dressings and pudding - YUM!

Organizers - It was really helpful to get the hand-outs of vegetarian restaurants and food stores in the area. Having foods, books and videos for sale was excellent too. All the time you took to prepare was obvious! Thanks so much!

What would make it even better next time? Starting on time is always makes the audience happy. Having a clip on microphone so the speaker has more freedom to move around would be helpful too.

I've been a raw fooder for 2 1/2 years now and I still continue to learn new things at every event. It is so encouraging to interact with other veteran raw fooders and to be inspired by all the newbies. This is a great group!

Nancy
