Guest guest
Greetings: My response to your message Bev, with hopes that I didn't offend you, or anyone. FYI ~ A while ago I posted that my forever low blood pressure has suddenly increased as a result of going raw. I asked if anyone knew anything about an increase in blood pressure when going raw, because I had heard something but couldn't remember what. In reading, THE SUNFOOD DIET SUCCESS SYSTEM by David Wolfe, I have found, " During detoxification, blood pressure may increase as thick soupy materials pass out of the lymph system into the blood. This will pass over time on a natural diet as the lymph and blood unburden themselves and normalize. " I Didn't know if anyone else would be interested in this info, but I though I'd pass it along. *** Thanks for the information on " increased blood pressure " Bev. Although I'm not sure if I ever experienced even a slight increase, this information may help calm anyone who is.*** Also, I apologize for not taking the time to participate in the polls. I didn't participate for a few reasons, none of which had to do with raw food being a " phase " . I am not very computer savy and if it isn't a simple " reply to sender " response, I typically don't do it. Also, though I think they are a GREAT idea, I don't plan to attend any pot luck events because I live so far away. ***There is no need ever, to apologize or explain for none participation in any of the events. Responses to anything is completely optional and voluntary. I do appreciate the information received by those who did. I have tried and will continue to raise individual and group interests as to what they expect from the group in order to help with planning future events, as mentioned in the poll. Maybe I espected too much but, one of the main reasons the group was founded (in addition to following Victoria Boutenko's advice to... " give something back " ) was to reach and allow interested people in the immediate area to meet and exchange dialogue whether online or in person at various events. Depending on responses to " polls " , events like potlucks may not always be held in one particular area. There are quite a few members who reside in your neck of the woods and who's knows you may be able to host a potluck in the future.*** Because I didn't participate in the poll doesn't mean I take for granted all raw soul has to offer. I do enjoy input from everyone and gain a lot from the group at times. ***I'm happy to hear that information posted here has been of interest to you.*** Although identities were guaranteed to be kept unrevealed, I am generally a private person who is searching for the best path. I value the group, and without meaning to insult the poll, I didn't see the value of going through the steps to post the information. I really enjoyed the personal stories people submitted and successes. Receiving yes, no, yes, no, no, no responses to the polls left me with an e-mail to delete rather than gain any information. ***When a poll is posted to the group provides a link to take you directly to the poll to submit answers, so as not to inundate members with individual responses, there is also a sidebar in the home page of that allows members to click on and browse through to gather other information not posted in emails. Members can change their email options which will allow you to receive either " daily emails, no emails or daily digests " .*** ***Because I wasn't sure how many members visit 's home page on a daily basis, I posted a messsage in December 2003 (#184), identifying each option on the sidebar that members have access to.*** If not participating in the poll caused anyone bad feelings or stress, I'd like to say I'm sorry. I'm sure I can't be the only one who didn't respond who appreciates the efforts of those who post. ***The results of the poll have been posted, so be assured Bev, out of 70 members you are not the only one who did not respond and certainly you have not caused any stress or bad feelings. Again, I'm open for suggestions on how to gather information from the members re: their expectations and interests for future events. I didn't intend for this group to receive support via emails only.*** Have a great pot luck. I'm sorry to miss the opportunity to meet so many of you.
