Guest guest
Elaine, ackee grows on a tree . I have always thought it was a vegetable. It usually served as a vegetables with callallo or bread. there are Ital shops in Brooklyn that make patties with it. It might come frozen. I will looks and ask. However your best hope of getting one out side of the can is if Sunyatta and Matt smuggle you one. PS. what does it mean when they say bring your cane in belly dancing? Guest guest
While I was in Jamaica i was told it was prepared w/fish also. I tasted it raw and didn't find it appealing. Mark
Guest guest
Thanks Lynda, Doing some research on Ackee now. It's served also with salted fish and herring. I think Sunyatta told me that her mother's former neighbor had a tree in the back yard and they had picked some from there. I'm not sure about that " bring your cane thing " . Guest guest
Thanks Mark. All of my research is coming up suggesting it to be searved with fish also. Please send directions to the potluck to me as well. Elaine Finance: Get your refund fast by filing online
Guest guest
Elaine, you are right she told about the neighbor in Florida because I asked about information on making bread fruit. I messed up two bread fruits. I could not fix it no matter what I did.. Love Lynda
