Chinese Jamaican dressing recipe

Greetings ers,

My mom (the Queen of Salad Dressings) gave us a new one. I

find that a good jazzy dressing keeps me interested in having more leafy greens

everyday. Otherwise I get bored and may fall off. L This

dressing is my childhood favorite but I only JUST got the secret recipe out of

my mom. Heh heh! It’s a Chinese dressing (well, Chinese-Jamaican). I use

cilantro with the greens (my mom usually uses fresh parsley but that dries up

breast milk so I don’t eat it as much as I used to). Plus I think the

cilantro gives it an extra Asian flavored kick. We really dig this dressing,

hope you will too. It has a nice sweet-n-sour vibe.

Jacqui’s

Chinese-Jamaican Dressing

¼ tsp Garlic

1 tsp celery seeds (easily found at the market)

1 cup olive oil

½ cup red wine or apple cider vinegar (for those who don’t

use vinegar, lemon or lime works well)

1 tsp. paprika

1 tsp mustard powder (like Coleman’s) - I also tried

wasabi paste as a substitute and we all loved it!

6 tsp raw sugar (or other sweetener of your choice)

1 tsp Sea Salt (Celtic is best for the minerals)

1 tbl Worcestershire Sauce (I found and organic one at My

Organic Market)

dash of ground allspice

cayenne to taste

I use romaine, cilantro (can use parsley as well), chopped scallion.

I sometimes add watercress or dandelion for the liver cleansing.

BTW, I also added 1 tsp of grated fresh ginger and it really

stepped it up a bit. I’d love to hear back from anyone who tries it

Be well,

Greetings Sunyatta:

I'm a little but as they say " good things come to those who wait " . I

finally tried the recipe for the Chinese Jamacian Dressing. . . It

gets ***** stars. Absolutely delectable! And it makes a big enough

batch to use for a few days. Additionally, it makes a fantastic dip!

Can't wait to try my next batch of dehytrated okra and zuccini sticks

with it. YUM!
