Are you possibly doing a lot of carrot juice (very high in sugar and can turn yout=r skin yellow. When I first tied raw about two years ago I felt awful and became raw alittle over a year ago after a Doug Grahm lecture. I increased my calories for my life style which is very active and now get most of my calories from fruit. Although many don't avocate it I make grren juices everyday and this allows me to increase my mineral intake w/out so much physical volume to digest. I also notice when I go to the Carribeans I eat less and don't juice and lees greens. I believe this is due to the freshness and nutritional denseness od the food their. Juicing is my temporary compensation living here in the DC area.

What a quiet group we have, eh!

 

Personally, I am having trouble staying raw…..I am

still losing hair and can’t seem to make it stop. I am now thinking it has to be too much

vitamin A….but not sure ~ there are no other visible symptoms…(yellowing of skin,etc). Is there a way to test the nutrient

level in your body?

Call the Wellness Center at Everlasting Life Health Complex in Capitol Heights MD. Sister Moreet does nutritional testing. I did the test a little while ago and it was very helpful. Phone 301-324-9000 or 301-324-6900.

I can understand the strugles staying raw because cooked food is addictive. As for hair loss try taking vitazymes or zymitol. They are enzyme suppliments and they seem to work for me. Try burdock oil for your hair. I heard it's good for hair growth.

Greetings Members:

 

Yes Bev, the group has been exceptionally quiet lately, but I'm sure

that once everyone has returned to normal and regrouped from the

holidays we will see more activity on a whole.

 

You haven't heard much from Ron and myself because we've been fasting

for the past 19 days. Upon ending the fast and getting our strength

back we will have more information to distribute.

 

By the way, if anyone desires information in reference to fasting

whether it be water, juice or fruit feel free to post your inquiries

and (although we're not experts) I'll recommend literature that we've

used and you may find helpful.

 

In the meantime Bev, I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing such

a problem staying the course of live foods and I have absolutely

nomore suggestions as to your loss of hair. I thought that since

your workshop with Doug and Roz, you were pretty well armed with

enough information to convience you that Live Foods the way to go, no

matter what however, I understand that underlying reasons for

individuals do exist.

 

In my continued research, if there's anything more that I can find to

assist you I will certainly pass it on to you. As suggested in a

response to your inquirey, yes a good nutritionist will be able to

determine your body nutrient content.

 

At any rate there's no better time than now, to begin again if your

heart is really in it.
