Guest guest
Linda, I live in south Florida. I know of recipes within 2 hours of here, but none in Central Florida. There are 2 in Miami--both of which I have tried recently. They are Food Without Fire in South Beach and Tree of Zion. I have a list of links such as these at the 12 Steps to Raw mailing list site at . I also have a growing list at Exercise Your Willpower. Tree of Zion doesn't have a website. Food Without Fire does. I'll give information at the end of this post. The 3rd raw food cafe I know of, and have tried many times, is Rhythm N Roots. It is located in Lake Worth, which is near West Palm Beach. There are raw potlucks the 1st and 3rd Friday's of the month. I have a raw mailing list for people living near West Palm Beach. Even though you don't live that close, feel free to join, if you would like to find out about things in this area. I'm trying to get a raw potluck group together. Also, I'm trying to get a few group events going, such as driving down to Coconut Grove to the organice farmer's market some Saturday. They have raw foods prepared for lunch, too. I also have Rainbow Green Live-Food Cuisine " by Gabriel Cousens, and really like it. Here are some of the links I promised: Rhythm N Roots: http://rhythmnrootsrawfoodcafe.com/ Food Without Fire: http://www.foodwithoutfire.com/ Tree of Zion doesn't have a web site yet. Here is information about them. Tree of Zion - 2426 NE 2nd Ave., Miami, FL 33137. 305-573-5874. Natural juice & smoothie bar, daily Ital(vegan) dishes, raw food dishes, raw desserts, metaphysical & spiritual Books, Ethiopian garments & Rastafari artifacts, African & Indian crafts, vintage clothing. Hours: Mon-Wed. 11am to 10pm; Thurs-Sat. 11am to 11pm; Sun. 11am to 3pm. I found this here. I noticed a lot more local information, including the organic farmer's market and Glaser Farms. Here is where I got the information regarding Tree of Zion: http://www.vegetarianusa.com/city/Miami.html Just do a search for raw food central Florida. I did one for raw food Miami to find the last link. By the way, I took a raw chef's live food cuisine class at Tree of Zion. It was fun and informative, and tastey too. Let me know if you have any questions.
