Suzanne,

The 6.50 is for priority, you can take the cheaper option from my

site or go to Amazon and save a penny! Of course they are also

discounting my book and if you buy enough from them they may not

charge shipping. Support them over me if you wish. If you happen to

be in Seattle at a raw potluck, then there's no shipping. No, I'm not

trying to take advantage. As you can probably guess, Amazon has a lot

more volume and keep their costs pretty low.

Jeff

Jeff, they discount your book because they get a discount, probably a pretty

deep one and pass part of the savings to the customers and of course they

still make a profit. You are not discounting your book at all but selling it at

the retail price...which of course is making you a bigger profit on the book

itself. And you are approximately doubling even " Priority " costs. You don't

even have to pay for the packaging when you send Priority....it's included in

the price at the Post Office! So my point is...Your making money not only on

your book, but also on " Shipping and Handling cost " ....quite a bit of it.

It's your right of course, but sales always reflect both price AND business

practices in my opinion (Customer Service, shipping and 'handling " fees " , good

return policies etc....)

If it was only a dollar or so I probably wouldn't have commented. And yes,

I will support Amazon (but not to purchase your book). I have used their

free shipping on one occasion. But whenever I make a book purchase, I always

add up the " discounted price " of the book along with whatever the seller is

charging for shipping fees, to see the " real " price of the book. It doesn't

matter how the costs are worded. (Weather price of book or " shipping and

handling "

fees, I always spend the few seconds to add the math together).

If anybody wants to do real fast comparative shopping for raw/vegan books (or

any books for that matter). I use fetchbook.info

It takes just a few seconds for the website to check lots of retailers to

comparative shop for you. In my experience, Amazon usually does not come out

as

the least expensive. And fortunately, I never had a bad experience with any

of the booksellers that I have purchased from as of yet.

Blessings,

Suzanne <><

How fast does someone spend $6.50 or a dollar? How much is it

really, either way it's pretty miniscule to my earnings and not a

factor in terms of real life problems. Six, seven dollars, a dollar,

what difference does it make if it's something that you want and are

going to utilize much?

Rich, thanks for the post! What's interesting is it was the more

expensive option that was originally questioned. The $4.00 rate is an

option and was overlooked. I'm not as efficient as Amazon and,

unfortunately, do not get their bulk discounts. I appreciate people

supporting me in my efforts when they have cheaper options elsewhere.

Thanks,

Jeff
